CNSTs house a research reactor and a laboratory complex, and may additionally incorporate a multipurpose irradiation center and a nuclear medicine center.
Among the CNSTs’ core facilities are the radioisotope laboratory capable of producing radioisotopes for medical, industrial, and agricultural purposes, the radiobiology laboratory used for agricultural research and experiments, and the radiation material science complex where researchers may study and develop new materials.
